Leasing and refinancing workflows for lenders and operators

UCS builds and extends leasing and refinancing application workflows for administrative users, borrower records, and multiple financed items. Credit and eligibility decisions need a separate scope.

Administrative workflows connect borrower records and multiple financed items.

Problem

Lending and leasing operators work with linked information about borrowers and financed items. A screen that handles one item may not support the way an actual application is assembled.

Changes need to connect the interface with the application behavior behind it. Clear workflow boundaries let a team improve an existing platform without assuming that every lending function is part of the same build.

What we built

  • Implemented administrative application workflows.
  • Implemented borrower-related workflows.
  • Provided screens for adding multiple items.
  • Connected interface changes to the underlying application behavior.

How it runs

Use this sequence to scope an extension of the existing application, with the operator defining the rules at each step:

  1. Map the current application. The product owner identifies administrative and borrower-facing users, the records they use, and which behavior must remain unchanged.
  2. Define item entry. The operator supplies required fields and validation examples for adding multiple financed items, including incomplete or corrected entries.
  3. Connect the screens. UCS scopes interface changes against existing application behavior and agreed permissions. External checks or calculators require separate decisions.
  4. Accept the change. The operator and product owner review sanitized examples across borrower and item records, then agree on release checks and ongoing maintenance.

When this scope fits

This work fits an existing application that needs clearer administrative or borrower workflows. If a current configuration can handle the required records, assess that smaller change first. A credit-decision engine, lending policy, or eligibility service is a different scope: application screens alone do not establish decision rules or approval authority.

Who uses it

Administrative users maintain the application workflow. Borrower-facing users supply relevant information. Product owners and lending operators define the rules the software must reflect.

Technology and integrations

Start with the existing lending application, its data, and its interfaces. Explore our development technologies when planning application changes and integrations.

Engagement fit

Product engineering fits a defined application or integration outcome. Agree on the first useful release, acceptance criteria, and who will operate it.

Scope this work with product engineering

What to agree before building

  • Define the borrower and item data, user permissions, and boundaries of the existing application.
  • Agree on validation rules, external interfaces, and milestone acceptance examples.
  • Treat calculators, eligibility decisions, document handling, and external checks as additional requirements to assess and agree separately.

Questions before we start

Does this include automated credit or eligibility decisions?

Leasing and refinancing application workflows do not include automated credit or eligibility decisions by default. Those decisions need separately agreed rules, approval authority, review paths, and acceptance criteria; administrative screens do not establish lending policy.

Can the workflow handle multiple financed items?

The delivered leasing application includes screens for adding multiple financed items. A new implementation needs item fields, data relationships, permissions, and validation rules agreed with the operator.

Can UCS extend an existing application?

UCS has delivered changes to an existing leasing application. A new extension requires review of current behavior, dependencies, and permitted access, with acceptance checks that protect the borrower and administrative workflows already in use.

Can you share the client or application?

The leasing and refinancing client and application remain confidential. UCS can discuss the engineering approach only within those confidentiality restrictions; an inquiry does not grant access to identifying materials.

Discuss your workflow

Bring a sanitized application flow, borrower and item field definitions, and examples of incomplete or corrected entries. Identify the lending operations decision owner and the person who can approve changes to the existing application. Do not send borrower files, financial records, credentials, or confidential application exports.
